Avalon Plus is a water-soluble stabilizer, suitable for stabilizing machine embroidery on delicate fabrics.

Instructions for use of AVALON PLUS:

AVALON PLUS is a highly durable, water-soluble film that can be placed under or over fabric for reinforcement. AVALON PLUS can also be embroidered without fabric.

Freehand machine embroidery : Place one or two layers of AVALON PLUS in the embroidery hoop and draw a motif of your choice directly onto the AVALON PLUS using a vanishing point marker (e.g. MADEIRA MAGIC PEN, Art. 9470). Then first embroider the outline of the motif twice freehand. Then embroider the motif using a weft stitch or small circular movements. The stitches must always be joined together so that the motif does not come apart after rinsing off the stabilizer. Now embroider the motif of your choice using straight or zigzag stitches. Once you have finished your work, remove the AVALON PLUS and the embroidery from the hoop. Cut off the stabilizer and rinse off any residue with water. Place the embroidery between two layers of fabric and iron dry.

Embroidery on lightweight fabrics and terry cloth : Place the fabric between two layers of AVALON PLUS (Fabric/Thread/Fiber Collage) and secure all 3 layers together in the embroidery hoop. After embroidering, cut off the excess stabilizer and remove with a
the water the residues.

Richelieu embroidery : Place the fabric on a layer of AVALON PLUS and secure by sewing the marked holes with a few straight stitches. Use embroidery scissors to cut the fabric inside the holes, without cutting the stabilizer. Then embroider the edge of the embroidery with zigzag stitches. Now rinse the AVALON PLUS.

Important : Always store AVALON PLUS in its tightly closed protective case. This will protect your film from dirt, moisture, and heat.
