Avalon Film prevents stitching from sinking and stabilizes machine embroidery on thin, sheer fabrics. Avalon Film also acts as a stabilizer when sewing thin silk fabrics, as the film prevents the fabric from shifting.

Instructions for use of AVALON FILM:

Embroidering on terry fabrics, such as towels: Cut the AVALON FILM from the roll to the desired length and place it on the front of the towel. Secure both in the embroidery hoop, facing upward. After embroidering, remove the protruding edges of the AVALON FILM along the embroidery. Then soak the embroidery in warm water until it dissolves completely.

Machine embroidery : If a stabilizer is needed to stabilize the fabric, fix it in the hoop, otherwise proceed as described above.

Sewing delicate fabrics : AVALON FILM is the ideal stabilizer for sewing fine fabrics such as silk and organza, as it prevents the fabric from shifting. Then, place the fabrics between two layers of AVALON FILM and sew as usual. After sewing, carefully peel off the excess film and remove any residue with water (a dampened towel or cotton swab).

Buttonholes on lightweight fabrics : Place the fabric between two layers of AVALON FILM and sew the buttonhole. Then carefully peel off the excess film and remove any residue as described above.

Quilting : Transfer the quilting design to the AVALON FILM using a water-soluble marker or the MADEIRA MAGIC PEN. After quilting, carefully remove the film and dissolve any film residue in water.

Important : Always store AVALON FILM in its tightly closed protective case. This will protect your film from dirt, moisture, and heat.
